Maxus has hired Jon Kaiser as digital director of Maxus North America. He reports to Louis Jones, CEO of Maxus North America.
Kaiser, who joined the company during the last week of February, is responsible for developing the agency’s digital offerings. He replaced Jeff Ratner, who is now SVP and digital director at ZenithOptimedia.
Kaiser was most recently VP and director of connection planning at GreySF in San Francisco, where he led both traditional and digital media planning.
He oversees 30 people on his team. The company has about 100 North American employees in Maxus offices in New York, Chicago and Toronto, with plans to open a West Coast office, Kaiser said.
Kaiser said that while the agency’s GroupM sister agencies are best suited for large clients, Maxus is positioned to serve midsize companies whose media spend is in the range of $25 million to $150 million. Maxus clients include CPG company Church and Dwight, parent of the Arm & Hammer and Trojan brands, as well as Welch’s and Panera Bread.
