Most list category prices steady: Worldata

The cost of both Permission-Based Consumer and Medium-Large Business E-mail lists fell more than 4% year-over-year, according to the Worldata’s Fall 2010 List Price Index. However, most categories tracked by the company remained fairly stable.

Permission-Based Medium-Large Business E-mail saw the largest category price decrease in the index at $15/M year-over-year to $273/M. Attendees and Members, Books and CDs, and Donors all shared the largest year-over-year price increases this quarter, all up $1/M, according to the index.

Databases and Masterfiles saw a 7.9% decrease, the largest by percent, while Donors saw the highest percentage increase at 1.2%, according to Worldata.

Despite its price decrease, Permission-Based Medium-Large Business E-mail is the highest-priced domestic category with an average price of $273/M this fall. Aggregated E-mail Database – Business is the second-highest-priced database with an average price of $216/M. Donors has the lowest overall price at $85/M, although it is up $1/M year-over-year.

Permission-Based International E-mail decreased $1/M from last fall to $405/M, but it is still the highest-priced international category.
