Teemo is a location-based advertising and marketing platform, and although it has a presence in the U.S. market, it was founded, and remains headquartered, in Paris. It’s business caught the attention of regulators soon after GDPR became law on May 25, 2018. It was “a rough few months,” as co-founder and CEO Benoit Grouchko says in this candid conversation with Kim Davis. But it gave Teemo the opportunity to lead the way in becoming GDPR compliant, and opened the way to doing effective location-based marketing, while respecting consumer privacy. Grouchko explains how.
