Lingerie retailer YumDrop has selected social commerce services firm PowerReviews to power customer reviews on its e-commerce site.
With the new technology partnership, shoppers on the site can write product reviews of lingerie that they have purchased.
Beyond user reviews, YouDrop is also running an e-mail acquisition campaign to build up its list. When the site is loaded at http://www.yumdrop.com/, visitors are invited to enter a promotion to win a $250 gift certificate to the site. To enter, consumers must enter a valid e-mail address.
The site sells costume lingerie such as sequin bras and a Parisian maid costume. The products are all merchandised by category and each product page features recommendations for additional products. For example, a click on “Jailbait costumer” recommends “Sergeant Sexy Costume” or “Pin Up Army Girl Costume.”
