OVGuide.com, an online guide to video Web sites, has launched a new search engine.
The search engine, powered by Relevis technology, is assisted by OVGuide.com’s editorial team, which categorizes each site based on content.
“Our editorial team is constantly searching the Web for new and unique sites to include in our directory,” said Dale Bock, president and founder of OVGuide.com, in a statement. “So refining our search was the next natural step for us.”
The engine also crawls all sites that contain or link to video, not only those that depend on XML feeds. Additionally, the engine will pick up on user search patterns over time, tracking what users click on after receiving search results. It can then deliver more relevant Web site results based on collected statistics related to a search term.
