Paxson Communications Corp., the TV station group in West Palm Beach, FL, that airs mostly infomercials, signed a long-term agreement with Nielsen Media Research the television ratings service, to provide Paxson with network programming ratings and audience data.
Paxson's television network, Pax Net, is planned for an Aug. 31 launch. The company's chairman and CEO, Lowell “Bud” Paxson, said the Nielsen ratings data are important to the company's programming and sales strategies. The network plans to air family-oriented re-runs of network shows during primetime.
