Pernod Ricard is Responsible All Day

John Tran, director of sustainability and responsibility at global beverage brand Pernod Ricard talks to Kim Davis about designing for social impact, and the importance of corporate values (among Pernod Ricard’s brands are Absolut Vodka, Beefeater Gin, and Jameson Irish Whisky). Pernod Ricard is one of only 33 brands to be named by the United Nations as a Global Compact Lead Company (and the only wine and spirits company on the list). It has thriving partnerships with non-profits like Rethink Food NYC, and is in the ninth year of “Responsib’All Day,” an occasion for all 19,000 employees to spend a day volunteering.

And following yesterday’s story about how Kahlúa, a Pernod Ricard brand, doesn’t take itself too seriously, Tran explains how it’s working with coffee growers on sustainability.
