Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software has released a new version of its Customer Data Quality Platform.
This latest iteration features three new modules: advanced matching, dataflow templates and location intelligence. Version 5.5 also features a revamped customer interface.
“When we build our technology, it’s based around two visions,” said Navin Sharma, director of product management, enterprise data quality for Pitney Bowes Software. “One is to make sure that we help customers maximize the value of their customer data, and two is to make it easy for data stewards to manage that data asset.”
The platform’s enhancements help make analyses and predictions more precise — a must for the software company’s insurance clients, Sharma said.
Match analysis shows data stewards what matched and why, helping to eliminate false positives and false negatives, and the location intelligence module can pinpoint a consumer’s address more accurately than earlier models.
“Our clients were absolutely asking for these tools,” Sharma said. “An insurance company’s business is tied to risk, and it can’t afford to underestimate the risk involved with a particular property. You could be five miles away from a flood plain or inside the boundary, and the risk assessment is completely different. That level of precision is important when you have to determine borderline cases.”
Group 1’s products are used by more than 4,000 customers, including Daimler, Nationwide and Genesys Health System.
