The Pop-Tarts Bowl is taking its quirky tradition to a new level this year. The college football game will feature not one, but three edible mascots. And the MVP of the game will get to choose which one the winning team eats.

Last year, the Pop-Tarts Bowl made a splash with its first-ever edible mascot. The strawberry-flavored mascot jumped into a giant toaster at the end of the game. It was a memorable moment for fans.

This year, there will be three flavors to choose from: Hot Fudge Sundae, Wild Berry, and a mystery flavor. The mystery flavor is a fan-favorite that will be revealed at the game. It could be a flavor that was discontinued in the past, like peanut butter or cinnamon roll.

Heidi Ray, the senior director of marketing for Pop-Tarts, says the company wants to push the boundaries of college football traditions.
Edible mascots entertain fans
“We’re promising to triple the Crazy Good antics on- and off-field with even more shareworthy, showstopping, I-can’t-believe-they-did-that moments for fans to engage pre-kickoff,” she said.
The mascots will be a big part of the game. They will interact with fans and celebrate with the players. At the end of the game, the winning team will get to eat part of the mascot chosen by the MVP.
The organizers call it “the ultimate pastry dream.”
The Pop-Tarts Bowl has been around since 1990. It has had several different names and sponsors over the years. Last year, it was called the Cheez-It Bowl before Pop-Tarts took over.
This year’s game will be played on December 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. It will feature teams from the ACC and Big 12 conferences. Fans can expect a fun and memorable game, with plenty of Pop-Tarts-themed excitement.
