Portland, OR-based response-driven ad agency R2C Group has acquired media firm Chautauqua Communications, LLC. This venture will expand R2C Group’s services by adding online creative and media buying to its list of services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but CEO of R2C Group, Tim O’Leary, said it was a cash deal.
Under the R2C Group umbrella is Respond2 Communications and Cmedia. Chris Peterson, founder and CEO of Chautauqua Communications, will become president of Respond2 and lead the San Francisco office of R2C Group.
R2C has been doing business with Chautauqua for just over a year. “We [at R2C] have been expanding our core competencies and [Chautauqua] was a good match for us, philosophically,” said O’Leary. “We want to be best in class if we’re getting into a discipline.”
R2C also has offices in Philadelphia, Providence, RI, and Billings, MT.
