Samsung has begun rolling out the November security patch for its flagship Galaxy S24 and S23 series in the U.S. The carrier-locked models of these devices are the first to receive the update. The latest firmware includes several important updates, including 38 vulnerability fixes for the Android operating system and 13 specific to Samsung’s One UI. These fixes address high-risk vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.

While the initial rollout is for carrier-locked models, the update will soon extend to carrier-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S24, S23, and their respective Plus models. This security patch comes in the midst of anticipation for the One UI 7 beta rollout, expected to bring significant updates to Galaxy devices. One UI 7 aims to introduce numerous new features, including smarter notifications, similar to those recently ventured by Apple in the iOS 18 update.
Given Samsung’s indication, the stable One UI 7 update will begin early next year, likely alongside the launch of future flagship devices.
