Samsung has started rolling out the November 2024 security update for the Galaxy A15, also known as “Buddy 3” in Korea. This latest update enhances the smartphone’s stability, security, and reliability, providing a more seamless user experience. Currently available in Korea, the update includes the One UI build version A156LKSU5AXK2 and is expected to expand to additional countries soon.

This software update focuses on system security improvements, safeguarding user data, and optimizing system functionality. The November 2024 security patch addresses 52 vulnerabilities within Android and Samsung software. Google has patched 38 high-level issues, while Samsung has fixed 13 issues, including those affecting multiple users, Dex Mode, Galaxy Watch, and various system settings.

This update is based on One UI 6.1 combined with Android 14, but the Galaxy A15 is scheduled to receive the next major update, One UI 7, in 2025, following the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. Users can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. The update has also been rolled out for Samsung Galaxy S22 series, including the S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra models.

These models are receiving the update in both the US and Korea, with specific firmware versions such as:

– Galaxy S22: S901USQS7EXK4, S901NKSU6EXK4
– Galaxy S22 Plus: S906USQS7EXK4, S906NKSU6EXK4
– Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908USQS7EXK4, S908NKSU6EXK4

The installation package is over 600MB. Users are advised to connect to Wi-Fi for downloading and installing the update by following: System Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Similar to other devices, the November 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series aims to address various vulnerabilities, enhancing both device security and performance. Samsung has initiated a sequential rollout of the November 2024 security updates across its Galaxy devices. The first device to receive this month’s update was the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, with other devices like Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy A52, and many more following suit.
