Samsung is rolling out One UI 7 beta 3 for Galaxy S24 series users already enrolled in the beta program. The update introduces several improvements, including fixes for game booster and lock screen issues. Users in the US, UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea are expected to receive this beta update.
Platform updates take significant time to reach Samsung devices, primarily because the company extensively customizes the Android platform. One UI 7, based on Android 15, was announced in October 2024, with Samsung initially stating it would arrive with the stable branch on the “next Galaxy.”
A user on X (formerly known as Twitter) highlighted the rollout of One UI 7 beta 3 in the UK, noting the update build number ends in ZXLJ. The beta 3 update is being deployed to Galaxy S24 series users who are already part of the beta program.
While Samsung hasn’t specified all the regions for this rollout, it is assumed to include users in the US, UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea—regions that previously received beta 2. The official changelog for One UI 7 beta 3 includes:
– Improved vertical scroll alignment in the app drawer

Samsung is currently working to make its stock apps ready for the stable One UI 7 update by adding and testing new features through beta updates. A new version of the Samsung Clock app has been spotted on APKMirror, compatible with Galaxy devices running One UI 7 Beta 3.
The fresh update of the Samsung Clock app is available on the Galaxy Store with version 12.4.03.1.
This update is currently only available for Galaxy S24 series users who are testing the latest One UI 7 Beta update. This means that only One UI 7 Galaxy S24 beta testers can enjoy the new Clock app features. However, it is also available for download through third-party app links.
The One UI 7 Beta 3 update automatically upgrades your Samsung Clock app to version 12.4.03.1 without needing additional installation steps. This fresh update fixes some issues that users encountered in the previous version and enhances some functions to make the app more stable and useful.
Samsung’s third One UI 7 beta highlights
Samsung is set to unveil the stable One UI 7 update with the Galaxy S25 series. After that, the company will release it for existing Galaxy models, alongside a host of new features and enhancements to provide a next-level experience. Samsung has its new flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 series, almost ready for release.
However, a major speed boost for the current Galaxy S24 series is imminent, which is great news for those who have the S24, S24 Plus, or S24 Ultra, as they won’t need to buy a new phone to benefit from it. Apart from speed improvements, the One UI 7 upgrade includes an app drawer that scrolls vertically, a new icon for Galaxy AI, new sounds, and updates to the settings in the Game Booster mode. Issues from earlier versions, such as lock screen shortcuts and volume key operations, have also been resolved.
At CES in Las Vegas on January 6, Samsung revealed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will be on January 22, which is when the Galaxy S25 line is expected to launch. The One UI 7 software, with its improvements, is anticipated to arrive shortly after that. One specific benefit of the new software is a faster fingerprint unlock speed.
According to a regular leaker, the new lock and unlock sound is crisper, and there’s a new sound to indicate when the phone is charging. More importantly, the fingerprint unlocking speed is significantly faster than in the previous version. This enhancement is beneficial, considering that we unlock our phones frequently throughout the day.
A video demonstrates the unlock speed on a Samsung Galaxy S24 using the beta software, showing a remarkably fast response, almost like a tap rather than a press. While it might not be the most significant upgrade in One UI 7, it’s a welcome addition nonetheless. Samsung’s continuous updates to its software illustrate the company’s commitment to improving user experience without requiring new hardware purchases, making their devices more valuable over time.
