The patented Boomerang 2-Way Mailing System from Sheppard Envelope Co., Worcester, MA, gives volume mailers four types of envelopes that include a built-in return envelope in the outgoing mail piece.
The designs feature return envelopes that are perforated to the back of the original envelope, eliminating the need to print and stuff separate return envelopes, inserts and peel-off labels. According to the company, the base weight of Boomerang envelopes is up to 40 percent lighter than other envelopes so that more inserts can be included for the same postage.
The Boomerang system can be used for billing, mail order, fundraising and other direct mail applications.
