Sprint Nextel is expanding its Business Premier customer loyalty program to include all small and midsize business customers.
The program previously applied only to Nextel customers, but a merger between the companies — and the movement of all customers to a single billing platform — now makes it possible for Sprint customers to receive the Business Premier perks. Benefits of the program include rewards, discounts, expanded customer service and deals from partner retailers. Qualified Sprint consumers will be automatically enrolled in Business Premier in phases through the rest of the year.
“This is one of several initiatives on the loyalty side that we have. We want to engage customers and reassure them that they’re our most important priority,” said Roni Singleton, PR manager for Sprint. “Potential wireless customers choose a carrier for a reason, but there are others that they could switch to, so they want to be rewarded for loyalty whether through deals or contract flexibility or with this program.”
Sprint Business Premier organizes customers into four tiers — General, Silver, Gold and Platinum — based on monthly billing. The top three tiers are also eligible for PremierPoints, which can be redeemed for rewards including gift cards, office equipment and phone accessories.
Customers will be notified of their enrollment in the plan via the Business Premier welcome kit, which includes a welcome letter and an explanation of benefits. Sprint also maintains contact with customers through regular newsletters, and through its Web site; members who sign on to the site with their password can track PremierPoints and shop online.
