The Strategy Team is developing a five-year marketing plan for Yvan Valentin Chocolatier that will begin this summer with a mail campaign targeting the hospitality industry.
Yvan Valentin, Los Angeles, also sells its four flavors of boxed truffles through Bristol Farms, the Wine Merchant and the Cheese Store of Beverly Hills.
The first phase of the campaign is expected to last through the fall. Direct mail will be supported by trade show marketing at such shows as the National Association of Specialty Food Trade's International Fancy Food & Confection Show in New York in June, said Andrew Powell, partner with The Strategy Team, Santa Monica, CA. Some public relations work, including trade show-related publicity, as well as news releases and feature ideas is also planned.
A second phase of marketing is expected to include consumer and Internet marketing, Powell said.
