Among all the commercial hoopla surrounding last night’s Super Bowl broadcast, you might have noticed the ad featuring a football passed from scene to improbable scene, promoting Esurance’s “Pass It On” sweepstake– a chance to win cash by retweeting Esurance content.
According to Spredfast, the social experience management platform which powered the sweepstake on Twitter, it was the most tweeted about commercial feature of the event, beating out #PepsiHalftime and Dorito’s, which had a heavy presence in the TV breaks.
Here’s some other winners, according to Spredfast’s data logs:
Top Twitter spikes: Forget about the football. Half-time followed by Lady Gaga’s national anthem.
Top Team: They came out roughly equal. Peyton Manning was the most tweeted about player.
Top Commercial Reaction: The biggest Twitter spike during the airing of a commercial went to Esurance (56 thousand), closely followed by Dorito’s (54 thousand).
No prices for guessing half-time’s MVP.
