Most tampon ads deal with their product in an airy, indirect way, but not this one.
This new commercial, titled “The Camp Gyno” from feminine hygiene product delivery service HelloFlo is not afraid to tackle the subject head on, using all the words considered taboo in a tampon commercial. It does away with the traditional hush hush tone of most feminine hygiene ads and is straightforward about the product, what it does and how HelloFlo provides an easy and convenient service.
The little girl in the video is spunky, adorable and hilarious, making this ad a viral hit, and setting a new standard for how advertisers will handle selling feminine hygiene products in the future.
