The 1999 U.S. Trade Mission to Europe for Direct Marketing will take place March 14-19 in Frankfurt, London and Madrid. The delegation, made up of U.S. telemarketing and direct marketing executives, will meet with high-ranking government officials, representatives of the European Community and leading direct marketers. “The 1999 European Trade Mission is concentrating on Germany, UK and Spain because more and more U.S. firms are expanding to these three large European markets,” said Bill McNutt, leader of the trade mission and president of International Direct Marketing Consultants Inc., Dallas.” The impact of the euro on European commerce will be a major focus of the trip. Delegates also will tour facilities of U. S. direct marketing firms operating in Europe, including Viking Business Supplies, Lands' End, New England Business Systems and Paper Direct. This is the 11th U.S. trade mission to Europe.
