USPS appoints two new VPs

In light of the US Postal Service’s recent reorganization, Postmaster General John Potter has appointed Pritha Mehra VP of business mail entry and payment technologies and Maura Robinson VP of pricing.

These two appointments follow Potter’s July 1 announcement of major organizational changes within the USPS. The reorganization combines all major shipping and mailing services in one division. A second division focuses on customer relations, according to the USPS. He also strengthened the office of Intelligent Mail and address quality.

In her new position, Mehra will report to Tom Day, SVP of Intelligent Mail and address quality. According to the USPS, she will be “responsible for an end-to-end, mail flow visibility strategy as well as for a seamless process for mail acceptance, payment, and delivery using standardized Intelligent Mail barcodes, continuous tracking, and mail-quality feedback in real time.”

Mehra has worked for the USPS since 1990, beginning as a computer programmer. In her previous position, she was the manager of marketing technology and channel management.

Robinson will replace Stephen Kearney, the former VP of pricing and classification. Kearney was recently promoted to SVP of customer relations.

In her new position, Robinson will be responsible for pricing all postal and non-postal products and services. She will also provide “analytical support and evaluation of all contract pricing and new product initiatives,” the USPS said.

Robinson began working for the USPS in 1998. She was previously manager of pricing systems and analysis.
