Verticals OnDemand has partnered with Skura Corp. to offer closed-loop marketing (CLM) and CRM to the life sciences industry.
Skura’s CLM application runs as an adjunct to CRM systems like the one provided by Verticals OnDemand. The two companies are offering their integrated product as a software-as-a-service (SaaS), meaning clients will not have to install or upgrade their own servers.
“The common vision is around simplicity and a lack of overlap,” said Matt Wallach, VP, sales and marketing at Verticals OnDemand. “The companies that Skura competes against have a server on the backend, so clients have to install software and maintain the system’s architecture, and there’s a lot of overlap in functionality. Skura’s system is only a client-side or tablet-based system, so you don’t have to get a server farm to keep it running. It’s a much cleaner, more efficient and more cost-effective implementation for our customer.”
The joint offering has signed on 10 customers in the last six months. The two companies will also be offering the combined service to their individual client bases and will be prospecting new joint clients together.
Wallach added that the pharmaceutical industry stands to undergo a lot of changes in the next few years and that a flexible CRM/CLM application could provide a competitive advantage.
“CLM is one thing that pharma companies are trying as a way to differentiate themselves in the marketplace, and it’s seen as an important way for reps to be interacting in the future,” he continued. “For us to be a real market leader, we need to be able to offer that to customers.”
Skura provides CRM consulting services and software for Tablet PC detailing and CLM. The company partners with technology companies like Verticals OnDemand, Oracle, Siebel, Siperian, Microsoft and SFX, and its products are deployed by pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Abbott and GlaxoSmithKline.
Verticals OnDemand delivers on-demand CRM via the Salesforce platform. The company focuses on clients in the life sciences industry.
