YouTube trumps Yahoo, Microsoft in November search queries: comScore

ComScore has released its November search engine rankings, and Google remains on top of the core search market share with 63.5% (up 0.4% from October). But perhaps more interesting is the fact that Google-owned YouTube garnered 2.79 billion searches. Yahoo-owned sites received less — a total of 2.62 billion searches, while Microsoft and its sites received 1.05 billion.

YouTube’s number of searches increased 8% since October — representing the biggest jump within the top three search engines. And because of this, even though proper Google searches were down 2%, Google-owned sites’ total percent change from October leveled out at zero.

Yahoo’s core search market share was 20.4% while Microsoft came in with 8.3% down — .1% and .2% from October, respectively.
