Interactive marketing firm Acxiom appointed Erin Taylor VP of corporate marketing, effective September 1. The former director of direct marketing at Alltel, she is charged with positioning the company to reflect market leadership and increasing its creative services and advertising capabilities, according to a company statement.
Taylor leads a staff of about 30 and reports to Michael Darviche, who was appointed CMO and SVP in February. Scott Maple, corporate communications team leader at Acxiom, said the hire does not represent a change to Acxiom’s marketing structure: Taylor serves on a peer level with two other marketing VPs. Maple added that Taylor will be a key part of upcoming campaigns that will “better position the company in terms of customer engagement.” Acxiom unveiled two mobile marketing services earlier this year.
She fills a position vacated by Mimi San Pedro, who recently left the company, according to Maple.
Taylor served as director of direct marketing at Alltel until it was acquired by Verizon earlier this year. Post-acquisition, she worked as associate director of advertising at Verizon. She previously was president and CEO of Fayetteville, AR-based Taylor Mack Advertising.
