Apple expert Thiago Derminio has shared a set of tricks that can double your iPhone’s battery life. These tips address settings and features that drain the battery by running in the background. To boost battery life, Derminio suggests disabling suggestions from Apple.
Open the Settings app, scroll to Siri & Search, and turn off the settings under Suggestions from Apple. This includes Allow Notifications, Show in App Library, Show When Sharing, and Show When Listening. Another tip is to reduce motion.
Open Settings, go to Accessibility, select Motion, and turn on Reduce Motion. This disables the parallax effect, which consumes additional battery life. Turning off Background App Refresh can also help.
Tips to extend iPhone battery life
Open Settings, navigate to General, select Background App Refresh, and set it to Off. Herby Jasmin, founder of the tech site Gotechtor, recommends adjusting the Reduce White Point feature to further conserve battery.
This setting reduces glare and dims the brightest colors on the display. To enable it, open Settings, go to Accessibility, select Display & Text Size, and toggle on Reduce White Point. Use the slider to adjust intensity.
Despite these tricks, if your iPhone continues to lose charge rapidly, it may be time for a battery replacement. Apple suggests replacing your battery if it is below 80 percent capacity. Users can check their battery health by opening Settings, tapping on Battery, and selecting Battery Health and Charging to view the battery’s Maximum Capacity.
By following these tips, iPhone users can extend their battery life and maintain their device’s performance throughout the day.
