Who it is: Andrew White, appointed SVP and CMO of EasyVista, an IT service provider.
What’s his role: He will be tasked with integrating IT operations management solutions for customers frustrated by fragmented IT management solutions that do not scale, integrate, or automate mundane tasks.
Where was he prior: White was most recently area vice president of marketing for BMC Software. He earlier served as VP of marketing for Numara Software.
Why was he appointed: “This is a critical and exciting time for EasyVista, and Andy’s proven track record of driving world-class product roadmaps, acquisition strategies, and high-performance global marketing teams is a necessity as we race toward the next generation of IT Operations Management,” says CEO Sylvain Gauthier .
Who it is: Steven Handmaker, promoted to CMO of Assurance, an independent insurance brokerage.
What’s his role: A member of the executive management team, he is responsible for the company’s marketing, communications, and branding efforts. He also serves as the point person on digital activity leadership.
Where was he prior: Handmaker was previously EVP of marketing communications at Assurance.
Why was he appointed: “The brokerage industry has lagged in technology and marketing,” says CEO Tony Chimino. “It’s a huge area of opportunity, and Steven has been able to push us to the next level as far as digital marketing and marketing automation.”
Who it is: Terrie O’Hanlon, appointed CMO of business intelligence provider QlikTech.
What’s her role: She will oversee QlikTech’s global marketing and brand strategy and investments.
Where was she prior: O’Hanlon was most recently CMO of supply chain solutions provider Manhattan Associates. She previously served as EVP of CheckFree.
Why was she appointed: “Terrie brings to QlikTech extensive business acumen, a deep understanding of stakeholder engagement, and an ability to work in an integrated way across global organizations to drive profitable growth,” says CEO Lars Björk.
Who it is: Deborah Baron, named CMO of Nuix, a provider of information management technologies.
What’s her role: She is charged with expanding Nuix’s profile in the information governance, eDiscovery, and investigative markets.
Where was she prior: Baron was VP of legal and compliance at Autonomy prior to joining Nuix. Before that she led product strategy lead for ZANTAZ and was group manager of email products at IBM Lotus.
Why was she appointed: “Deborah’s experience at two very successful, fast-growing businesses—ZANTAZ and Autonomy—will help us continue to grow Nuix into its true potential,” says CEO Eddie Sheehy.
Who it is: Barry Chandler, appointed CMO of Buzztime, a provider of games and social media tools to bars and restaurants.
What’s his role: Chandler, whose social media agency Chandler Interactive was acquired by Buzztime, will lead all the company’s marketing efforts with special focus on content marketing and social media.
Where was he prior: He launched his career as a food and beverage manager for Cunard Line before launching a B2B website for the hospitality industry in Ireland and then going on to form Chandler Interactive.
Why was he appointed: “Barry has a rare blend of sophistication around social media and content marketing coupled with real world experience and expertise in the bar and restaurant industry,” says Buzztime chairman Jeff Berg.
Who it is: Mike Dickman, appointed CMO of BoatsGo.com, a website offering daily deals on boat-related products and services
What’s his role: He will be responsible for building the brand among both consumers and marine industry leaders.
Where was he prior: Dickman comes from a similar role at BoatQuest.com and previously ran his own firm, Dickman Marketing.
Why was he appointed: “His experience and knowledge of the industry along with his personal relationships are key to the growth of BoatsGo.com,” says CEO and founder Stephen Munive.
