Who it is: Scott Snyder, named CMO of Interleukin Genetics, whose flagship products include tests that measure tooth loss susceptibility and determine the best weight loss regimen for individuals based on their genetics.
What’s his role: Snyder will focus on launching the company’s PST genetic risk panel to guide more effective dental preventive care, while guiding marketing for Interleukin’s line of professional healthcare tests.
Where was he prior: Snyder was most recently VP of marketing and general manager at Bausch & Lomb. During his long tenure at Johnson & Johnson, he was executive director of marketing for Orapharma, VP of marketing for Therakos Inc., and marketing director for the Tylenol brand.
Why was he appointed: “I have great confidence that Scott will drive the next phase of the company’s growth,” says Interleukin CEO Kenneth Kornman.
Who it is: Steve Daheb, appointed CMO of Citrix Systems, a provider of solutions for cloud-based initiatives that claims partnerships with more than 10,000 companies in 100 countries. Daheb was named one of the Top 10 CMOs of 2009 by the CMO Institute when he performed that role at Emulex.
What’s his role: Daheb will share his expertise in the networking, security, virtualization, cloud, and mobility markets.
Where was he prior: Daheb moves to Citrix from Blue Coat Systems, where he served as CMO and SVP of business development. In addition to his tenure at Emulex, he held senior marketing, sales, and business development positions at BlueArc , Brocade, and Lucent Technologies.
Why was he appointed: “Steve is an accomplished marketing executive with the breadth and depth of experience we need to lead our marketing teams into the future,” says Citrix CEO Mark Templeton.
Who it is: Flynn Dekker, appointed CMO of Pizza Inn and Pie Five Pizza, a Dallas-based restaurant franchisor and owner-operator.
What’s his role: Dekker role is to oversee marketing, public relations, and communications for more than 300 domestic and international locations.
Where was he prior: A Dallas restaurateur, Dekker previously served as CMO for the Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chão and SVP of marketing for the 700-unit Metromedia Restaurant Group. He has also held key marketing positions with FedEx Kinkos, EMI Music Distribution, and Blockbuster.

Who it is: Hester Bloch, named CMO of Isobar, the global digital network of Aegis plc.
What’s her role: Bloch is charged with expanding the reputation of the network’s global reach.
Where was she prior: Bloch joins Isobar after a five-year stint at AKQA, where she was the UK marketing director before being promoted to global marketing director. She is an 18-year veteran of the digital marketing industry.
Why was she appointed: ” She brings a pioneering pedigree and passion to the company,” says Isobar CEO Mark Cranmer.
Who it is: Richard Kendrick, named CMO of Steben & Company, a provider of managed futures funds.
What’s his role: Kendrick will oversee marketing and brand strategy for the entire firm.
Where was he prior: Kendrick’s last role was as managing director and head of marketing for ProShares, where he was responsible for the marketing of more than 140 exchange-traded funds. Before that, he managed the retail marketing of some 70 mutual funds as a vice presidentat Ameriprise.
Why was he appointed: “Rich’s extensive experience in marketing strategy and brand management will be crucial as we extend the strength of our brand further into the alternative investment space with new product launches in the coming months,” says President and CEO Ken Steben.
