Marketing communications agency Draftfcb Healthcare recently acquired full-service marketing and communications provider Hudson Global to build up its digital presence.
“The chemistry and synergies between our clients and staffers couldn’t be better,” says Dana Maiman, CEO of Draftfcb Healthcare and New York. “Additionally, the acquisition further enhances Draftfcb’s digital offerings; Hudson adds an expanded dimension to our already robust capabilities, giving give us the ability to deliver important marketing and educational messages for our clients via Hudson’s unique and proven services.”
Maiman says that Hudson Global’s history of a “client-centric focus” and “passion to innovate” were key reasons the company was attractive to Draftfcb.
“The company’s core divisions offer promotional marketing services that combine traditional marketing programs with a world-class digital and interactive media platform that enables greater impact on, and flexibility with, the target audience,” Maiman says. “From medical strategic services to technology and Internet media communications to peer-to-peer and other personal programming, Hudson combines these areas with a full complement of support groups to carry out high-quality marketing programming in a fully regulatory compliant manner.”
Hudson Global will maintain its brand name as well as its clients.
“No conflicts exist so there will not be a need to resign any business,” Maiman says. “We already share a number of key clients and our combined offerings will be very attractive to them.”
The Draftfcb CEO says the two companies “toasted our union at an agency party earlier this week with Hudson’s entire staff,” and no layoffs are expected as a result of this acquisition.
“The time was right.” Maiman says. “We were not looking to acquire a company just to add revenue to the top line. We found a company that truly will add to the overall strength of Draftfcb.”
