Epic Games has recently launched its store for Android devices, offering a new platform for downloading games on smartphones and tablets. The store, which initially supported popular titles like Fortnite and Fall Guys, has expanded significantly since opening up to third-party games in January. In just over a month, the Epic Games Store for Android now boasts more than 30 available games.
This surpasses the current 26 games available on the Epic Games Store for iOS, making Android the preferred platform for access to more titles through Epic’s store. The latest additions to the Epic Games Store for Android include Cultist Simulator, Figment 2: Creed Valley, Machinarium, Road Redemption, Shadow Fight 4: Arena, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money, Warface: GO, Doodle God: Infinite Alchemy, Merge Food Truck Chef Cooking Games, Gigapocalypse, Hollywood Crush, Little Big Workshop, and Train Valley 2. As an alternative to the Google Play Store, the Epic Games Store promises better terms for developers.
The store’s expansion is part of Epic’s strategy to attract users by providing high-quality games, mirroring its approach with the PC version of its store.
Free Star Wars RPG giveaway
Additionally, from now through March 20, Android users can redeem both “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” and “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II” for free.
Once claimed, these games will remain permanently in the user’s library, provided they are redeemed by the deadline. The availability of these acclaimed Star Wars games for free is a significant draw for Star Wars fans and RPG enthusiasts alike. Originally released two decades ago, these games were defining entries in the Star Wars RPG genre, with characters like Darth Revan and Bastilla Shan becoming fan favorites.
Epic has faced legal battles to expand its mobile presence, and the company’s cross-platform account base grew to 898 million users during 2024. This statistic includes accounts created through the Epic Games Store and partner platforms. As the Epic Games Store for Android continues to grow, users can expect more titles to be added regularly, with the tempo set to increase to a weekly schedule later this year.
