Former Euro RSCG Chicago president Jamie King launched his own multidiscipline agency, Camp & King, with Euro holding company Havas on February 3. A day earlier, Euro RSCG Chicago named Norm Yustin, who will resign as global CMO at teen fashion brand Claire’s, as his replacement.
Camp & King, has been “incubating within Havas since late fall,” King said. The company, which King launched with former Publicis & Hal Riney colleague Roger Camp, helped Old Navy build a “full communications plan using in-store, viral, mobile, social and some of their direct channels,” for the Halloween season. The agency is also working with Shaklee Corp., as well as on a project with Yahoo scheduled for a spring launch.
King is serving as the agency’s principal and CEO, while Camp is the firm’s principal and chief creative officer.
Yustin will report to Ron Bess, president of Euro RSCG North America. Joy Schwartz, will also continue to serve as president. Both presidents will manage different pieces of the agency’s business, said Will Byrne, senior corporate communications manager at Euro RSCG Chicago.
Prior to Claire’s, Yustin held positions at Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, Fallon, Interpublic Group and Macy’s North.
“I’m an agency guy in my heart,” Yustin said. “I was having a fantastic time at Claire’s. Our success was extraordinary, but receiving the call from an agency I admired made it a no-brainer for me.”
Yustin said his role at Euro will be “a balance of bringing on new business and taking care of existing clients.” He added that there will be no restructuring of the marketing department due to his hire.
Euro RSCG Chicago promoted CCO Steffan Postaer to chairman in November, but he resigned shortly thereafter. Jason Peterson replaced him as CCO.
The agency won Groupon’s customer relationship marketing account in December, and Sprint added mobile marketing to the agency’s duties last month.
