As it continues to rebrand itself as an enterprise focused company, social media management platform Hootsuite is partnering with a host of global agencies.
Following the footsteps of Adobe, Salesforce and Marketo, Hootsuite becomes the latest marketing tech company to partner with digital marketers on the agency side in order to reach a wider customer base, especially in the B2C space.
“Social media is integral to new business strategies, and agencies need to stay ahead of the curve to deliver successful digital services for their clients,” said Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite. “Hootsuite has long been the partner of choice for global agencies helping enterprises drive social across their business. Our experience working with some of the world’s top brands will arm digital practices with insights and tailored tools that translate into tremendous value add for clients.”
Getting to enterprise clients through their digital and comms agencies is becoming the strategy of choice for marketing platforms since it makes sense to target the people who will actually be using their products, while still getting paychecks from the companies that hired them. Social media marketers on the agency side can make a much better pitch for the platforms they want to use, instead of Hootsuite making the pitch directly to the client.
Not only does the partnership allow the agencies to evangelize Hootsuite’s features to its clients, it will also serve as an opportunity for Hootsuite to educate its agency users on its best practices and latest updates.
Initial members of the Hootsuite Global Agency Partner Program include FleishmanHillard, M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy Digital Health and Lost Boys (part of the DigitasLBi family).
