New Solutions Debut at Dreamforce

Benioff wields an IoT toothbrush at his keynote.

Dreamforce is in full force. Marc Benioff is keynoting, Salesforce is seeding its new IoT cloud, the Foo Fighters are doing sound checks for tomorrow night’s performance, and tech providers are tempting the Salesforce faithful with several new applications. Here’s a rundown of some new options worth investigating:

Inside View introduced an update to Inside View for Sales compatible with Saleforce’s new Lightning user interface that makes workflows more intuitive. The new version promises better data visualization and app-inspired navigation that works across all devices and screens.

Having already provided a video solution to the Sales Cloud and Salesforce1, Vidyard is at Dreamforce with what it claims is the first video answer for Community Cloud. As with its other Salesforce installations, this provides in-depth viewing data to users so they can identify which video content is the most engaging and which customers or prospects are the most engaged.

Sweden-based Brisk launched an Enterprise Administration tool that enables users to bring together all third-party Salesforce tools to create what it calls an “auto-generated to-do list” for salespeople. Company CEO Hampus Jakobsson said Brisk says the solution “incorporates any third-party tool that integrates with Salesforce to give users everything they need to make sales decisions.”

CircleBack introduced ContactCloud, a contact management solution blending AI with the curation of millions of users holding more than a billion contacts. “On average, only 50 to 60 percent of contact sales data is accurate,” said CEO Manoj Ramnani. “Our solution helps sales and marketing professionals capture the data that never gets to the corporate system.”

Buyer Insights CRM from Lattice Engines attempts to take on the age-old obstacle to efficient use of CRM systems: lack of collaboration between sales and marketing. The new solution uses predictive analytics to share the same data and insights to both camps in real-time, while also providing next-step recommendations.

Finally, Salesforce introduced SalesforceIQ for Small Business and for Sales cloud, based on tech it acquired along with last year’s purchase of RelateIQ. The products aggregate information from calendars, emails, calls, and marketing automation software to give SMB users a more accessible user experience.
