The 2024 Cohort under the New York Fashion Tech Lab, a program focusing on revolutionizing retail technology through women-led startups, has now been officially announced. Leading this innovation charge are ambitious women entrepreneurs in sectors like social commerce, AI design, personalization, visual commerce, fraud protection, and fashion sustainability impact.
This marks the eleventh run of the program since its 2014 initiation by Springboard Enterprises. The program facilitates collaboration with renowned brands, mentoring the chosen startups over a 12-week course. To date, Springboard Enterprises have successfully empowered numerous female entrepreneurs, nurturing innovation, and economic growth continually.
Participating brands for the 2024 Cohort include Curated for You, Flock, Fairly Made, Nectar AI, Raspberry AI, and Yofi. In addition, first-year partners Lululemon, MCM Worldwide, and the Neiman Marcus Group join previous associates like LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Selfridges & Co, The TJX Cos., and Tapestry in supporting the project.
The selection process, carried out by partnering firms’ officials, resulted in the finest six startups.
Introducing 2024 cohort of NY Fashion Tech Lab
These startups will establish their operations at Spring Place, with their Closing Demo Day scheduled for June 18 at Lavan.
Jackie Trebilcock, the program’s Managing Director, emphasized upcoming trends like “social commerce, personalization, fraud/returns protection, visual commerce, AI design/merchandising, and sustainability impact.” She urged businesses to adapt to these changing trends to stand amidst fierce competition.
Since its start, the New York Fashion Tech Lab has nurtured 75 women-led firms like Obsess, Eon, FindMine, Buywith, Dressx, Reflaunt, and Save Your Wardrobe. These firms have managed to secure strategic partnerships with retailers and substantial investments, marking a significant presence in the fashion tech landscape.
The Lab’s commitment is to propel forward-looking startups to lead the fashion tech revolution. This persistent effort aligns with their mission to make the fashion industry more inclusive and innovative.
