Global marketing agency Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide has named Lauren Crampsie worldwide CMO, effective immediately, said Toni Lee, director of public relations at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide.
She will report directly to Miles Young, Ogilvy & Mather’s worldwide CEO.
In her new role, Crampsie — who will continue to direct the agency’s business development in North America — will now also be in charge of Ogilvy’s global communications initiatives. Ogilvy has more than 450 offices around the world, Lee said.
Crampsie will replace Eleanor Mascheroni, who left Ogilvy for a position at a company located in Detroit, said Lee, who was not able to disclose the name of the Detroit company. Mascheroni was with Ogilvy for more than 10 years.
Young said in a statement that Crampsie is someone who will “be a tremendous spokesperson for the vigor of our brand in the new landscape of communications.”
Crampsie first joined Ogilvy New York in 2004 and was promoted in 2008 to become the agency’s youngest business development director, said Lee. In 2010 she was promoted again to North American CMO.
