Pinterest will now provide analytics to all businesses

Brands looking to use Pinterest as a marketing platform can now take advantage of free analytics.

Pinterest announced today that the analytics features it had previously made available only to select brands, will now be available for free to anyone with a Pinterest Business account.

Writing on Pinterest’s business blog, product manager Jason Costa said:

We’ve gotten lots of great feedback about our analytics tool, and we hope this new version helps you improve how you do business—whether it’s updating your product offerings after seeing what’s popular on Pinterest, or changing how you pin based on what’s trending with Pinners.

Here are the three basic types of analytics marketers can view related to their Pinterest activity:

Profile: View which parts of your website and Pinterest profile are getting the most clicks, as well as the traffic related to the Pin It button.

Audience: Metrics about your audience’s interests and most popular pins. You can also view information about the devices being used by the audience to view your pins.

Pin Insights: For tracking the performance of your individual pins, including stats on impressions, clicks and re-pins.

To get the new analytics, all you have to do is create a business account with Pinterest (also free) to get started.
