Jeff Crouse has been named VP and GM of small and medium business North America Mailing at Pitney Bowes, said Leslie Abi-Karam, EVP and president of Mailing Solutions Management.
In his new role, Crouse will oversee customer acquisition and retention
efforts in the small and medium business division for the Stamford,
Conn.–based customer communications management company, in both online and
offline channels.
He previously served as SVP of marketing and business development at lead management company Leads360, and prior to that he served as VP of marketing at Stamps.com.
“Jeff is a proven direct marketer himself,” Abi-Karam said. “His strong track record in marketing digital products and digital marketing strategies will help us reach markets and audiences outside PB’s traditional customers. His experience in direct marketing and unique insights of small- and medium-size businesses is a powerful combination.”
Crouse will also guide the ongoing expansion of Pitney Bowes’ customizable cloud-based pbSmart suite, introduced last year, which allows small businesses to develop, deliver, and measure their customer marketing. The suite’s features include the direct mail marketing product pbSmart Marketer and email marketing tool pbSmart Connections.
“I am very excited to help build on our strong presence in the SMB market and to reach new segments, ” Crouse said, in a statement. “I look forward to the opportunity to help expand our full suite of Pitney Bowes solutions that optimize customer communications management to meet the needs of both existing and new customers.”
Crouse’s arrival comes after Pitney Bowes reported on Feb. 9 that Q4 revenue in its small and medium business segment declined 6% year-over-year, to $666 million, due to a 9% drop in North American Mailing revenue. International Mailing increased by 1% over the same period, though total revenue dropped 7%, to $1.34 billion.
