Puma has partnered with Payrails to enhance online payment options and improve the shopping experience for customers on Puma’s website. This collaboration will give customers access to various payment methods, making their purchasing process simpler and better. Puma will also benefit from higher payment authorization rates.
This will allow the sports brand to expand into new markets and improve services in existing ones. Orkhan Abdullayev, CEO and co-founder of Berlin-based Payrails, says Berlin remains a major destination for attracting venture capital investment. This is despite the city lagging behind London in fintech investments.
“Berlin is still very exciting and has a lot of opportunity in terms of talent and in terms of being one of the major destinations for attracting VC capital,” said Abdullayev. Payrails has raised over $20.8 million from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, EQT Ventures, General Catalyst, and HV Capital. The startup offers payment infrastructure that enables businesses to accept payments and automate financial operations on a single platform.
Enhancing Puma’s payment experience
Payrails will integrate their technology with Puma’s existing systems. This aims to reduce technical complexity and improve operational efficiency by supporting multiple payment service providers and alternative payment methods across different regions.
The advanced payment platform uses automatic payment routing to direct transactions to the most appropriate provider. This is based on processing fees, purchase location, transaction value, and risk. Puma customers will get localized experiences, dynamic payment pages customized to their specific needs, personalized payment options, and an improved, user-friendly checkout experience.
We are excited to join forces with Puma as a global payment technology partner,” says Abdullayev. Our platform provides iconic brands like Puma the flexibility and scalability they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences globally.
Pancho Ortuzar, Director of Global E-Commerce Engineering at Puma, added, “We are committed to driving digital innovation and offering best-in-class shopping experiences for our customers in every market. With Payrails’ technology and data capabilities, we have gained a deep understanding of our payment performance and built frictionless customer experiences.
This partnership is a significant step forward in Puma’s efforts to enhance their global e-commerce experience.
It will also help them expand their reach in new markets while better serving existing ones.
