By typing in a popular gaming code, you can make dinosaurs wearing fashionable hats appear on the fashion magazine’s UK website.
Nerd coding joke or genius PR move? Either way, fashion blogs are squealing with glee over this fun little easter egg on Vogue’s UK website.
If you type the Konami code when you get to the website, a parade of velociraptors wearing very trendy hats will float across the screen, which, when juxtaposed over the blank stares of the lithe models in the background, is pretty damn hilarious. It’s also a quick, easy way for a usually dour-faced brand to poke some fun at itself and get some good buzz going on blogs and social media.
And if you’re like me, and you don’t know what the Konami code is:
Go to the website and press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A
And then a dinosaur will appear every time you press A.
You’re welcome.
