InfoGroup will combine its nonprofit-focused units into one direct marketing services provider, called InfoGroup Nonprofit, next month.
The company will merge its Triplex and May Development Services divisions by the beginning of next year. The new unit will offer services including data processing, list brokerage and fulfillment and creative and print services. The provider will have four office locations: Washington, DC; Greenwich, CT; Marshfield, WI and Omaha, NE.
“When you put these two units together, we have a far more powerful product offering and level of service that we can offer to our clients,” said Gretchen Littlefield, who will be president of InfoGroup Nonprofit.
One reason for the combination is the importance of direct mail to nonprofits, said Littlefield.
“When you look at a list of the top 50 mailers, nonprofits make up a significant portion of that list,” she said.
The businesses have a total of 435 nonprofit clients, including The Nature Conservancy, ASPCA, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and American Heart Association.
InfoGroup acquired Triplex in 2004 for its data processing, list fulfillment, e-mail and online services in the nonprofit vertical. May Development Services, which specializes in list brokerage.
The move will also address clients’ desire for a wide range of services, Littlefield added.
“Our clients are not really looking to just buy lists anymore,” she said. “They want a contact that is going to give them advice on how to find donors and increase their response rate.”
Littlefield also explained that InfoGroup will invest in its digital and online services, as well as its database and merge-and-purge solution.
