Pioneer Square Labs (PSL) has formed a Technical Advisory Board (TAB) to guide businesses within its startup studio and venture capital portfolio. This board will provide technological insights and assist in company identification and evaluation.
Members of the TAB are leading technologists and industry pioneers from Seattle, including researchers from the University of Washington, individuals from top tech companies, and experienced professionals from the entrepreneurial field. They bring expertise in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics. Their mission is to support the growth and development of Seattle’s tech landscape.
Through TAB, PSL is specifically focusing on artificial intelligence (AI). Greg Gottesman, the firm’s Managing Director, perceives a significant shift in the tech landscape prompted by AI.

The TAB comprises nine members who will receive equity in PSL’s venture fund and participate in regular meetings. Last year, PSL raised $20 million through a fundraising event for its third fund supporting its startup studio, which has helped over 35 companies. Furthermore, PSL Ventures, a fund investing in spinoffs from the PSL studio, saw its valuation reach $100 million last year.
Besides its internal investment activities, PSL facilitates funding rounds for external businesses. This includes a recent partnership with Mayfield, a venture company from Silicon Valley, aimed at providing financial assistance to AI-focused startups. These initiatives underscore PSL’s commitment to nurturing innovative businesses, fostering technological development, and creating a vibrant ecosystem for AI startups.
