The frame is not
the story.
News arrives already explained. A villain has been chosen. A motive has been assigned. The important part is often the thing the explanation asks you not to inspect.
The Direct Message is the sentence left standing after the framing is removed.
We begin with the felt contradiction, not the press release. We map the noise around it, including the incentives behind the words. Then we state the clearest message the evidence and consequences support.
It is not a claim of perfect objectivity. It is a visible reasoning process. Readers should be able to see how we moved from the public argument to the conclusion.

Tension
What does not fit?The lived contradiction, pressure, or consequence that gives the story its human stakes.

Newsom's retelling moved from "take out" to "bombing", the California delegation said Trump appeared to "invite Iran to destroy two American cities", and the White House and Trump's 7 Oct rally added the words "would have been threatened" and "We protect our cities".
Cal OES, the state Department of Justice and the Highway Patrol said on 6 Oct that there were no confirmed threats by Iran, and CSIS says Iran has not tested or deployed a missile that can reach the United States.
